How old were you at your session? 22

What made you decide to book a session? I simply wanted to feel the way girls had said their session made them feel!

What was originally holding you back from booking a session? Money! Luckily, I snagged a session during the Black Friday sale which helped! I was nervous too- all those nerves were gone about 5 minutes into the shoot!

What were you most nervous about for your session? Being awkward. I feel like a lot of girls think or say they're super awkward in front of the camera and I was guilty of this. I hadn't had any photos taken of me since high school grad pictures. I'm far from a model!

How did you feel about yourself before your session? Regular. Average.

Describe your experience. Like I said before, leading up to the session I was nervous I didn't tell anyone I was doing the shoot. When I got to the studio, it was a very cold December winter day! I was greeted by Emily who dolled me up in hair and makeup after I tried on various items from the boudoir closet and got both Jes and Emily's opinions on pieces I brought in. Emily was so kind and patient in helping me choose the perfect lip color and making me not only look beautiful but feel beautiful, too! When I was finally ready to rock, Jes made me LAUGH. I felt so comfortable shortly after starting! I never felt awkward, she told me exactly what to do without being bossy and even showed me a couple shots right off the camera during the shoot which gave me more confidence and reassurance. I'm not kidding when I say I didn't want to leave! I felt like I was just hanging with some girlfriends having fun listening to music and getting dolled up. Afterwards I went out to dinner and the compliments kept flowing because I looked awesome ;)

How did you feel about yourself after your session? Extraordinary.

Were you nervous before your viewing session? No! I was just excited.

How did you feel about yourself after seeing your photos? I couldn't believe it was actually me in the photos. There were so many to choose from! I felt like the model I say I'm far from. I felt confident- and that feeling doesn't come too often!

What were your favorite products? I loved the little Polaroids and view finder, so fun and nostalgic! I ended up getting a keepsake box with my favorite photos printed in thick paper.

What would you tell anyone interested, but maybe hesitant, in book a session of their own? Just do it! Your fears are far less powerful than the feelings you'll have during and after your session.
