How old were you at your session? 32
What made you decide to book a session? I had wanted to do a boudoir session for almost 15 years. At first, in college, I didn't have the money. Then I was working full time for the military and couldn't justify the expense. I spent the second half of my 20's in College and gained what I considered "too much weight" to be photographed. At 30 I started a career, got married, bought a house, and adopted step kids. My world changed, and my concept of self developed. I prioritized my seeing myself as beautiful and sexy as a way to improve my confidence and enhance my marriage. It was the best money I have ever spent.
What was originally holding you back from booking a session? Money, confidence, bruises (lots of physical training at my job).
What were you most nervous about for your session? I had no idea what kind of lingerie I looked good in. Thank goodness for the boudoir closet and plenty of time to try things on!!! I appreciated not feeling rushed, and the help of your second opinions!
How did you feel about yourself before your session? I went in feeling confident. As soon as I put my session fee down, I became more excited every day leading up to my session. Committing to it was the hardest part.
Describe your experience. I had so much fun! It was great to be in the hands of two very talented strangers who felt like my new best friends for the day. We laughed over awkward things and put our game faces on just on time to snap the winning shots.
How did you feel about yourself after your session? Amazing! I rolled right into "date day" with my husband full of confidence and overflowing with fun, positive energy.
Were you nervous before your viewing session? Yes!
How did you feel about yourself after seeing your photos? It was amazing how beautiful I looked in those photos. I wear a man's uniform every day to work and never do my hair or make-up. Just being done-up was a treat in itself. Now my photos hang in my bedroom, so that I never forget what a beautiful and powerful woman I am.
What were your favorite products? I went for a print release
What would you tell anyone interested, but maybe hesitant, in book a session of their own? If the only thing that came of the session fee was an excellent morning getting dolled-up and having my photo taken in a lot of pretty things that came from someone else's closet, that would be more than worth it. The empowered feeling after a session is enough! To have photos of how pretty that finished product is is the icing on the cake!
How was working with Jes and Emily? They quickly become your new best girlfriends. They are simultaneously very professional but fun, and make you feel so comfortable!
Will you be doing another session? I already did a second, outdoor session :)
Anything else you want to add? Thank you ladies for empowering the women of our area. Every woman should have this experience at least once in their lives!
