fine art duluth boudoir by jes hayes of mad chicken studio lingerie from forever 21

origin of inspiration: her eyes, skin, and the fact that she had a baby only two months prior to her session

I first met Nancy at a gender reveal party that I photographed for her almost two years ago.  She was pregnant with her first born, and found out at the party, that they were having a girl!  I love her family so much, that almost every time that I photograph them, a new sample product with their session gets ordered :)... they just really make us at the studio really happy!

Needless to say I may have jumped up and down when Nancy booked her session for boudoir.  I had literally just photographed the newborn session for her second baby girl.  This was the first time that it was just Nancy for a session, and boy.... she killed it!

I typically do not prefer eye contact with the camera during most of a boudoir session.  My style is very voyeuristic, and eye contact obviously doesn't fit in with that.  Plus it can distract from the comfort level that I build during the session {"Hey, sit there half naked and make eye contact with me", doesn't feel very comfortable to me ;). But when Nancy connected with the camera, with her eyes, something was different.... she needed to connect with the camera more.  I mean, look at her eyes!  LOVE...

Nancy, I just love you and your family!  I wish that I could see the look on your husband's face when he opens his gift!  You heard me right, gift... so shhhhhhhh ;)
