When did it become a bad thing to be a certain size? And what does “fat” mean? Why can she just be thin… why does she have to be a “skinny bitch”? I mean honestly, why do we have to be put into a category?
I understand that this whole post could be seen as somewhat cheesy, but I feel like I need to say it. When did thin, “young and pretty” become the standard of perfection. Let me ask, I’m in my 30’s, I have a belly, I have a big nose… so am I not good enough? Am I not beautiful because I am not in my early 20’s, a size 2, big boobs, and a perfectly symmetrical face… with a proportionate nose?
Sometimes I wish people viewed other people, like how dogs view humans… everyone is great and they love anyone upon first contact. Instead of instantly labeling people and placing them into these ridiculous categories. As long as you are happy with how you look…. who is anyone else, to tell you otherwise? Only you can place yourself into these categories, and if you think low of yourself to the point that you have to tear others down, I feel really sorry for you.
I have had girls on both ends of the spectrum in my studio, standing half naked, in front of my camera… all with an opinion about themselves:
“I’m too fat”
“I hate this side of my face”
“I’m too skinny and don’t have any curves”
“I don’t have boobs, I can’t be sexy”
And then there are the comments that are made ABOUT other women…. come on ladies, let’s get our crap together.
Regardless if you are “too thin” or “too big”, you are pretty great to me, and I wish you would see how beautiful you are, instead of believing what strangers have said to you and for some reason made you believe. And if you are one of those putting other people into “categories”…. shame on you
So, because it seems wrong to blog without posting an image with it… here is a little look at what I am currently working on. I am OBSESSED with Katelyn’s hair! So so so gorgeous
