How old were you at your session?22
What made you decide to book a session?
I had been a part of the group for a while and thought that it would be a good exercise for my up-coming wedding as well as great gift for my groom! The ladies were also having a deal at the bridal show I attended and Poly kinda talked me into it!
What was originally holding you back from booking a session?
I was worried that I wouldn't look good in the outfits and poses that some of the other ladies were doing, I was also a bit self-conscious about my body, mostly my tummy.
What were you most nervous about for your session?
I was most nervous about not looking too fat in the pictures lol I purposely didn't eat anything that would make me bloated and made sure to bring water. I was also nervous about picking outfits that would look good.
How did you feel about yourself before your session?
I was a bit self-conscious about particular things with my body like my tummy and back fat. I was nervous that I wouldn't look good in the poses or the outfits.
Describe your experience.
When I got to the studio I was greeted by Emily and her bright smile, and she showed me to the dressing room. Shortly after that Katie came in and both of them let me know that if I felt like I needed their opinion that I could press a button and they would both come to the rescue! I spent a while picking out my outfits trying my best not to be judgmental about my body. I picked a few outfits (more than 4 haha) and when Jes got there she helped me narrow down my outfit choices and give jewelry for my outfits. Then it was time for hair and makeup! Emily was super receptive to the fact that I wanted to do a more natural look and we chit-chatted the whole time she was getting me all done-up. By this time I didn't have a care in the world that I was going to be basically naked in front of these ladies, they were all very nice, fun, and just overall very pleasant to work with. When it came to start shooting the picks I was full of confidence and didn't have a care in the world about my insecurities. This was a feeling that accompanied me through my entire session and I still feel that when I think about my session or head back to the studio to look at products!
How did you feel about yourself after your session?
I felt like nobody could take me down. I was on cloud 9 and so full of confidence that I could've faced anything that day. The ladies were great at making me feel comfortable in my body and giving me the confidence that I try to give myself every day.
Were you nervous before your viewing session?A bit, I was worried about how I looked in the photos
How did you feel about yourself after seeing your photos?
I love my viewing session! I did notice a couple pictures where I felt like they weren't super flattering to me but then I realized it was only because of my own insecurities that I thought that way, so I decided to push those thoughts out of my mind for the rest of the hour. Leaving the studio those thoughts crept back into my mind but the more I saw my photos the less I cared or thought about my insecurities.
What were your favorite products?I love my eyes open photos because my eyes are my favorite, but I also really love dat booty :)
What would you tell anyone interested, but maybe hesitant, in book a session of their own?
Yes! If you even have an inkling of a thought to do it, go for it! It is the most fun you will ever have in 4 hours and once you can walk around in front of three ladies that were basically strangers a while ago in nothing but a bodysuit, you know that you have the power and ability to take on anything else that may come your way in your life!
How was working with Jes and Emily?
Amazing! These ladies are really just the most beautiful people inside and out. Their main goal is to make you feel comfortable and realize just how beautiful you are too! Jes is definitely the more outspoken type while Emily is very charismatic. Their personalities work great together and you really just have a lot of fun with them!
Will you be doing another session?Hell yeah! I would really love to do a winter outdoor session, which Jes said isn't super doable but I have some ideas about it that I will definitely run by her when I am ready for my next session!
Anything else you want to add?
Honestly we women today face so many obstacles in our lives that why should other women also be an obstacle? I love that there is a place here where women can go for unconditional love and support in an area where women often need it, since we are told by society that we have to look, be, and behave a certain way all the time. Just be supportive of women everywhere! We all need that "hey, I love that dress on you" or "you have beautiful hair" every once in a while to keep our confidence in ourselves up and realize that yes, we can run the world!
